Not sure what to do with your summer? Come hang with us! Thoughtful Thursdays are drop-in hands-on programs aimed at students entering kindergarten through 3rd grade.  All materials provided, no registration necessary. This Thursday, we'll be reading If You Were A City and designing our own city on the library's windows!  We'll need people, vehicles, streets, buildings, and more, so we'll bring the paper and you bring the imagination! Directions:

Meet at the beach near the north parking lot at Stinson Beach. From Hwy 101 in Larkspur, take the exit for Sir Francis Drake Blvd west 20.4 miles to Olema. Turn left onto Hwy 1 and follow it for 13.6 miles. Turn right at the Stinson Beach Parking (GGNRA) sign, then park in the first lot on the right.

A French Style Antique Market

​Experience the ambiance of the French flea markets in Paris right here in Marin. 
The market brings together over 140 booths of vintage and antique treasures. 
Enjoy a Sunday stroll through aisles of home and garden décor, vintage and estate jewelry, collectibles, books, vintage shabby chic, farmhouse style, art, pottery, silver rugs and a host of other items. Listen to live French music, grab a tasty crepe, greet your favorite exhibitor with "Bonjour" and come home with a treasure or two.

Meet at the gate on Deer Island Ln in Novato. From Hwy 101 in Novato, take the exit for Atherton Ave, then head east for 1.7 miles. Turn right onto Olive Ave, then left onto Deer Island Ln. The gate is on your right.

Commission meetings are held at the Marin Wildfire Prevention Authority located at 1600 Los Gamos Rd in San Rafael.
A presentation is made at 1:30 p.m. featuring a noted guest speaker on a topic of interest to older adults, their families and professionals.
The business meeting will follow at 2:45 p.m.  The General Commission Meetings are held on the second Monday of each month except for August.

Meet at the parking lot in Paradise Beach Park in Tiburon (3450 Paradise Dr). From Hwy 101 in Mill Valley, take the exit for Tiburon Blvd (Hwy 131) east 1.8 miles. Turn left onto Trestle Glen Blvd, right onto Paradise Dr, and follow for 1.5 miles. The park is on the left.

San Geronimo Valley Community Center and Fire Safe Marin invite you to a community discussion with light refreshments. We also have To Go Bags for those attending.
The conversation will be about the many crucial components of preparing for wildfire. Bring your questions, meet your neighbors, and leave with practical steps that you can take action on right away.
