Honor those who have served our country. Marin’s Veterans Day program will begin in the Marin Veterans’ Memorial Auditorium with music, military exercises and a brief address. It will continue in front of the World War I, World War II and Korean, Vietnam and Merchant Marine Memorials on the Avenue of the Flags. Explore the bounty of summer at the Marin Farmers Markets. Taste vine-ripened tomatoes, corn that was picked that morning, and peaches so juicy you have to bend over just to get a bite. Farm-fresh eggs, grass-fed beef, artisan cheeses, raw milk, and freshly baked breads complete the shopping experience. Specialty prepared foods and handmade art add to the magic of the market.
