Make a Difference Day is Sausalito's citywide day of volunteer service — a single day when community organizations and neighbors come together to attend and care for the places we all share. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with your community, give back, build friendships, and make a meaningful impact through collaborative volunteering. Learn more and sign up to volunteer on the Make a Difference Day website: https://makeadifferencesausalito.org/

Stewards of the Land highlights the Indigenous diaspora in Marin County and seeks to uplift them as essential voices in our communities. Their portraits and stories carry forth the ancestral knowledge of reciprocity and sustainable care for the earth. The current extraction-based economy normalizes the desecration and exploitation of Mother Earth. Indigenous values offer a holistic perspective of seeing every plant, animal, and landscape as relatives and not profit. This intimate connection has allowed Indigenous peoples to thrive and live in harmony with the natural world for thousands of years.

Join the Sausalito Sustainability Commission for their quarterly meeting. For more information and to view a meeting agenda, please visit the Commission's webpage here.

Speaker: Sarah Thacher, County of Marin, Marin Green Business Program

Certified Green: Marin Businesses
Taking Climate Action (And You Can Too!)
Marin business owners, here is something worth knowing. The Marin Green Business Program helps local businesses go green, save money, and earn real recognition from the County of Marin, with over 400 certified since 2002. So how does a business become Certified Green?

Prepare to launch into the darkest depths of deep space! Join us online as we sit down with master storyteller Daniel Kraus, winner of the 2026 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction, to celebrate the release of his breathtaking new novel, The Sixth Nik.
Deep into space, far past the triworld outposts, beyond range of the lethal trollbot internet, soars The Sickness: a ship woven from biomatter and capable of reacting to every need of its human crew. Sisilla, a nine-year-old cultist with a brain enhanced by arcane tech known as “niks,” has boarded to investigate the enigma of Fém—a plague-riddled planet that has abruptly gone rogue.

Join Librarian Riva for outdoor storytime in the park every Tuesday.

We'll share songs, action rhymes, finger plays, scarf time, bubbles, and stories, just right for caregivers with lap-sitting babies and more independent toddlers and preschoolers. Carpet squares are available, or bring your own blanket. Storytime will take place indoors during inclement weather.
