One of San Francisco’s most anticipated events is back and tickets are now available for ZooFest 2026: Carnaval Under the Canopy, our annual fundraising event.
ZooFest 2026 takes place on Saturday, October 17, 2026. This year’s gala will feature a bespoke cocktail hour, dining by McCall’s, dancing to Fast Times Dance Party under a custom-created tent, a curated live and silent auction, and many more surprises.
The event honors Connie and Bob Lurie for their many decades of support and dedication for advancing our mission of wildlife conservation and top-tier care of our animals.

By day, Filoli is breathtaking. By night, the mystery begins.
Start your evening at a lively harvest celebration filled with pumpkins, live music, seasonal food and drinks, festive games, and autumn charm. Then venture into the Historic House, where nature has slowly reclaimed every room and a century-old mystery waits to be uncovered.
Taking place under the twinkling Spectra lights, the Fall Family Festival on October 17th, from 4 to 7pm; features fun carnival games, free pumpkin decorating, face painting, the San Francisco Public Library Bookmobile, and entertainment such as stilt walkers and bubble magic with Sterling Bubble.
The selfie station with the autumn-themed Petalz Flower Truck is a must stop photo op with City Hall as the backdrop, as are the carnival treats: cotton candy, candy apples and local food trucks featuring fall fair favorites.
Looking for a family storytime? Bring the little ones to Family Storytime, a fun and free activity for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers ages 0–5 and their families. Enjoy favorite children’s books, rhymes, songs, and flannel stories while helping kids build early literacy skills through reading, talking, singing, and play. Storytime takes place Saturdays in the Children’s Room. No registration required.
In addition to producing healthy and sustainable local food, Petaluma's Tara Firma Farms also puts on fantastic family-friendly events throughout the year. Come on out to the farm for Halloween fun with pumpkin carving, live music, a straw maze, games, food, drinks, and more.
Pumpkins on Pikes takes place on Saturday, October 17 and 24 and Sunday, October 25, from 2 to 9 pm.
Find a new-to-you Halloween costume for the kids at this free, family-friendly costume swap at Fairfax Library.
Make a splash this fall at our Floating Pumpkin Patch! Swim through the pool to pick your own pumpkin, then decorate it with the supplies provided. Enjoy an afternoon of swimming, games, and festive family fun at the Terra Linda Community Pool.
