Celebrate Halloween at Oakland Zoo's Boo at the Zoo! This family-friendly Halloween event features special animal encounters, limited-edition trading cards, costume contests, and fun activities for kids.

Event Dates: Saturdays and Sundays, October 17–November 1, 2026.

Halloween Activities:

• Animal Encounters: Meet creepy crawlers at the House of Bugs on Saturdays at 1 pm and explore reptiles and amphibians on Sundays at 1 pm.

Enjoy free admission to the de Young Museum in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park every Saturday!

Bay Area residents can explore the museum's permanent collection galleries for free with proof of residency. It's a wonderful opportunity for families to experience art, culture, and creativity together.

Admission: Free for residents of the nine Bay Area counties. Special exhibitions may require an additional fee.

Bring the little ones to Mart Littles Yoga at Love Story Yoga, located at Marin Country Mart in Larkspur!

Designed for children ages 3–6, this fun 60-minute yoga class combines movement, breathing exercises, meditation, and music. It's a wonderful way for kids to stretch, relax, and have fun!

The World Pumpkin Capital of Half Moon Bay celebrates its bountiful fall harvest and autumn splendor with a special display of enormous, heavyweight champion pumpkins, three stages of entertainment, non-stop live music, the Great Pumpkin Parade, a haunted house, harvest-inspired crafts, homestyle foods, photos with the grand champion mega-gourd, contests, pumpkin carving, and more. Admission is free.

Celebrate the fall season at the Western Railway Museum's annual Pumpkin Patch Festival! Enjoy a scenic train ride to our famous Gum Grove Farm, where you'll find one of Solano County's favorite pumpkin patches and a full day of family-friendly fun.

Your admission includes unlimited train rides to and from the Pumpkin Patch and access to most festival activities (pumpkin chucking sold separately). Enjoy favorites such as a giant hay fort, zipline, tractor rides, petting zoo, live music, and more. Food, beverages, and pumpkins will be available for purchase from our local Rotary Clubs.

Bring the whole family to the Marin Country Mart Farmers Market in Larkspur! Shop for fresh, locally grown produce and enjoy free kids' activities, crafts, and live music every Saturday, rain or shine.
